SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support place produced for intervention encounters a significant inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all sassa people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing more info of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
